Dedication To My DAD

Dad was born and raised in Port Chester, NY. He attended Port Chester schools and was a star of the 1936 Port Chester High School Football Team. As playing football was a passion of his, for a while he played on the local semi-pro team known as the Thunderbolts. During his time playing football, he aquired his nickname of "Steamboat", which stayed with him throughout his life.

Dad enlisted in the Marine Corps and served in the South Pacific during the war. He saw action in several battles on various islands and also served on mainland China just after the war. Click here to see Dad's service information from his discharge papers.
