Fire headquarters (Station 1) is located in the center of the downtown business district of Greenwich, on Mason Street. It houses three volunteer companies and an around the clock assigment of career force personnel. The three volunteer companies stationed in fire headquarters are Amogerone Volunteer Fire Company No.1, Volunteer Hose and Chemical Company No.2, and the Greenwich Fire Police. The administrative offices consisting of the suppression, prevention, and training divisions are also located here. This station primarily serves the Long Island Sound shoreline from Belle Haven to Meads Point (including the local area of Long Island Sound and the Islands therein), the central business district and nearby residential areas, and back through the central lower portion of backcountry residential Greenwich.
