Station 2 is located in the center of the Cos Cob business district of Greenwich, right on the Post Road (Route 1). It houses two volunteer companies and an around the clock assigment of career force personnel. The two volunteer companies stationed in station 2 are the Cos Cob Volunteer Fire Company No.1 and the Cos Cob Fire Police Patrol. This station primarily serves the Long Island Sound shoreline from Meads Point to Cos Cob Harbor (including the local area of Long Island Sound and the Islands therein), the Cos Cob business district, and back through the eastern lower portion of backcountry Greenwich.
