Station 8 is located in the backcountry residential district of Greenwich, on North Street, just above the Merritt Parkway (Route 15). It is staffed by an around the clock assigment of career force personnel. This station primarily serves the upper backcountry residential area below the Banksville/Bedford, NY state line from Round Hill to the Stamford city line, and the Merritt Parkway (Route 15) from the NY state line to the Stamford city line. Station 8 is the newest fire station in Greenwich, just recently being opened in Spring of 2001.
